Welcome to Cocky Clock ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our mobile application Cocky Clock (the "App").
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account Information โ name, email address, and profile data when you sign up via Apple or Google Sign-In
- Alarm Data โ your alarm times, escalation preferences, wake-up task settings, and repeat schedules
- Device Information โ device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers
- Smart Home Data โ names and types of connected smart home devices (we do not store device credentials)
- Phone Number โ only if you enable Service Phone Calls; used solely to place wake-up calls
- Household Member Data โ names and contact preferences of people you add; they must consent to being added
- Location Data โ only if you subscribe to the Nuclear tier and request a human visit; shared with our partner service only at time of dispatch
- Usage Data โ how you interact with the App, features used, alarm success/failure rates (anonymized)
- Payment Information โ handled entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play; we never see or store your payment details
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and deliver the core alarm and escalation features of the App
- Place Service Phone Calls to your registered number when escalation is triggered
- Coordinate human wake-up visits via our partner network (Nuclear tier only)
- Send notifications to household members you have designated
- Manage your subscription and billing status via RevenueCat
- Improve the App through anonymized usage analytics
- Respond to your support requests
- Send you important service updates (not marketing, unless you opt in)
4. Smart Home & Device Access
Cocky Clock integrates with smart home platforms including Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Philips Hue, and Bluetooth devices. When you grant these permissions:
- We access your devices only to trigger alarm-related actions (lights, sounds, blinds, etc.)
- We do not store your smart home credentials on our servers
- Device access is processed locally on your device where possible
- You can revoke smart home permissions at any time in your device settings
5. Silent Mode Override
Cocky Clock requests permission to override your device's silent and Do Not Disturb mode in order to sound alarms. This permission is:
- Explicitly requested during onboarding with a clear explanation
- Used only for alarm-related audio
- Revocable at any time in your device settings
6. The Nuclear Option โ Human Wake-Up Service
The Nuclear tier connects you with a third-party partner network (delivery and ride services) to dispatch a person to your location. When this feature is activated:
- Your location is shared with the dispatched partner โ only at the moment of dispatch
- This feature is subject to availability in your city
- Partners operate under their own privacy policies
- You must explicitly activate this feature each time โ it is never triggered automatically
- One visit per month is included with the Nuclear subscription; additional visits are $9.99 each
Your location is never stored by us after the visit is dispatched. It is transmitted to the partner service only and immediately.
7. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Supabase โ our database provider (data stored in EU servers)
- Twilio โ to place Service Phone Calls (your phone number only)
- RevenueCat โ to manage subscriptions (no payment details)
- Partner services โ location only, at time of Nuclear dispatch, when you activate it
- PostHog โ anonymized analytics only
- Legal authorities โ only when required by law
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:
- Your personal data is deleted within 30 days
- Anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics
- You can request full data deletion at any time by contacting us
9. Children's Privacy
Cocky Clock is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict our processing of your data
- Data portability โ receive your data in a machine-readable format

11. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted data storage, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
